Conveniently positioned on the edge of the pretty village of Chetnole, you will find a popular pub nearby and a useful convenience store a short drive away. This picturesque area has an abundance of pretty towns and villages to explore including the charming market town of Sherborne, which has an historic abbey, two castles, as well as quaint streets lined with boutique shops and artisan eateries.
A shared drive leads you to the private entrance which has a step up to the front door. Once inside the cottage you are met by a spacious hallway that leads firstly to the twin bedroom, which is a peaceful spot overlooking the garden. You will also find a separate WC. Heading on from here is the bright and airy lounge, which has a warming wood burner (first basket of logs included, further logs available to purchase from the owner), TV/DVD and a Juliet balcony which looks out over the garden and gives glimpses of the river beyond. Moving along the hallway you will find the contemporary bathroom, with shower over bath and WC as well as a further king-size bedroom. The spacious kitchen/diner is well-equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave and fridge/freezer and is the ideal place to relax with the family as it also has a TV. There is also a utility area which has a dishwasher, washing machine and door leading to the terrace and garden.
Once outside you will find a sunny terrace overlooking part of the owners’ garden and offering lovely views of the river. You can enjoy this tranquil spot whilst using the garden furniture and BBQ supplied, located directly outside of the kitchen/diner, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying drinks or a meal outdoors. Steps lead down to a second fully enclosed garden area, with lawn and pretty flower beds. Heading back to the front of the property is an off-road parking space for one car.
