A beautiful bay

Sandwiched between the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and magnificent Chesil Beach, this small town is perfect for exploring the southern shores of this beautiful county.

West Bay boasts seaside charm in abundance, with plenty of places to try some delicious fish and chips or ice cream, and some wonderful restaurants to sample the finest local produce on offer.

There is lots of space on the beach to soak up the sunshine or go for a refreshing dip in the sea. You’ll also be in a popular fossil-hunting area, and there are plenty of activities on offer such as boat rides, diving and fishing.

The town has been used in many famous scenes over the years, but its most recent feature was as the backdrop from popular TV serial drama Broadchurch, starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman.
