This lovely cottage is a short stroll from the village square in picturesque Corfe Castle, a pretty and historic village which nestles among the Purbeck Hills and is renowned for its castle ruins and thatched cottages. This is a fantastic walking area and you can walk directly from the cottage to join footpaths to the nearby downs and to the coastal path a couple of miles away. This beautiful area of coastline, extending from Swanage to Weymouth, is part of the spectacular Jurassic Coast – England’s first natural World Heritage Site. The four miles of sandy beach at Studland are a short drive away, as is the charming seaside resort of Swanage where you can enjoy swimming, fishing, boating and diving.
On entering this lovely Grade II listed cottage, which dates back to 1780 and retains several original features including beams, flagstone floors and an open fire, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, open fire and TV/DVD, this is a delightful space to relax in after a fantastic day out. You will also find a charming dining room, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. A washing machine and freezer are also provided. This room has a small en-suite shower room, with restricted head room, and is equipped with a walk-in shower and WC.
Stepping outside, you will find a small enclosed garden at the rear of the cottage with a lovely sun room.
