With far-reaching views over the Purbeck Hills and its proximity to the isle’s sandy beaches, this stunning 1700-dated stone property fuses coast and county for a truly tranquil break. It’s close to all the village amenities, as well as the majestic ruins of Corfe Castle itself. Part of the Jurassic Coast, the area is famed for its walking trails, which from here stretch to the coastal villages of Studland and Lulworth, and up to the hilltop villages of Kingston and Worth Matravers. Dolphins and seals can often be seen off the coast at Durlston, and there are good facilities for bird watchers at the Arne Nature Reserve. The sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage are just a short drive away.

This detached property offers light and airy accommodation throughout, with many traditional features retained, including gorgeous wooden beams and an inglenook fireplace in the lounge, which contains a wood burner. Relax here on the comfortable sofas in front of the TV/DVD or perhaps while reading the latest bestseller. There’s also a snooker table for you to enjoy during your stay. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker and electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, and two undercounter fridge/freezers, and you’ll find the washing machine in the adjoining utility room, which also has a cloakroom with WC. Enjoy your evening meal or a delicious breakfast in the dining room, which has a large table and chairs that comfortably seats eight, as well as a feature fireplace. From here, French doors open into a large conservatory, which offers another living area with comfortable seating and lush garden views. All four bedrooms can be found upstairs. There are two double bedrooms at each end of the house. At one end of the property there are two double bedrooms  that share the use of a shower room and WC.  Both of these rooms have a king-size bed, one of which is a zip-and-link that can be made up as a twin (2ft 6in beds) on request.  At the opposite of the house are two bedrooms, one king-size bedroom with large en-suite and the other being a family room with cot bed which has an adjacent bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.  This is a super king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as a twin on request (3tfbeds)

Enjoy the large enclosed garden, which includes a patio area and large lawn. Sit and take in the stunning views to the downs, or perhaps enjoy an al fresco dinner. Parking is available for three cars - one in the garage, dimensions are: 227cm/89.5 inches wide and 175cm/69 inches high and two in the rear garden, access through the garage. Larger cars will need to park in a side road, a short walk from the property.

Such a lovely, spacious cottage. We've stayed 4 times we love it so much. The garden is huge, enclosed (dog-proof) with lots of garden furniture. I always bring a few kitchen bits but never need them as the house is so well equipped. Great to have two en-suites and a main bathroom (as well as a downstairs wc). We hope to return for a 5th stay.
