The traditional Victorian seaside town of Swanage has a great choice of independent shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes, and is known for its long sandy beaches, promenade and pier. The town is at the eastern end of the Jurassic Coast and makes an ideal base for exploring the Purbeck Hills. Along the coast, you can visit the old Winspit Quarry (5.5 miles), Kimmeridge Bay (11.5 miles), Old Harry Rocks (4 miles), Lulworth Cove (18 miles) and the natural arch of Durdle Door (18.5 miles). Nature-lovers can explore Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve (8 miles) or catch a ferry from Studland (3.5 miles) to explore the beautiful Brownsea Island. Heading inland, you can visit Lulworth Castle (15 miles) and Corfe Castle (6 miles).

Five steps lead up to the front door of this delightful property. Heading inside there’s a mosaic-tiled hall where you can leave coats and boots. You will find a light and inviting open-plan lounge/diner with plenty of cosy seating, a Smart TV/DVD, a bay window with sea views and French doors to the garden. The dining area is perfect for sharing a family meal together. You will also find an attractively designed kitchen equipped with a range oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, wine fridge, washing machine, dryer and dishwasher, as well as a handy breakfast bar and a door to the garden. There is also a ground-floor WC. Going upstairs to the first floor, you will find the first three comfortable bedrooms, all with feature fireplaces and hand basins. The master bedroom has a 5’ double bed and a bay window with a sea view; there’s also a double room and a bunk bedroom. This floor has a shower room with shower and WC. The rooms on the second floor have reduced height in the eaves. There are two single bedrooms, both with sea views, as well as a bathroom complete with a claw-foot bath, separate shower and WC.

Outside, there’s a gravelled area to the front of the property with a palm tree. The courtyard-style back garden is reached by two steps and has raised beds, a gas BBQ and a slightly raised seating area which affords stunning views over the rooftops and out to Swanage Bay. A very spacious house with some nice views. The furniture was of a very good standard and the kitchen was well equipped. The hill may put some people off but we found it ok. A great central location.

Amazing location, very close to the town and beach, and lovely clean spacious house with comfy beds, lots of cooking equipment and plentiful amounts of crockery and cutlery which is unusual for a rental property.

The house was clean and well-equipped, and perfect for our group of two families on holiday together. The location was brilliant, so close to the centre of Swanage. Parking outside was a problem but we were able to find parking on nearby streets, within just a minute or 2 walk from the house.

Be aware that this house is on a very steep hill with a lot of traffic during the day and parking is a nightmare. Beds comfortable.

A perfect property for two families, plenty of room and good facilities. Well positioned for access to the town and beach as well as a short walk to the country park. The house is located on a reasonably steep hill. Lots of eateries nearby and a good sized Budgens. Property had good heating controls and good showers. Small outdoor space but really Read morecute.
