This property, located on a leafy lane overlooking Studland Heath and under a mile the Beach, offers an unforgettable stay for guests seeking the perfect mix between countryside and coast.

Located on a quiet, unmade country road just 3 miles from Swanage, this property is your ideal retreat from busy life. You’re situated at the end of the stunning Jurassic coast, which finishes at Old Harry Rocks (1 mile), offering children the chance to go fossil hunting. Take a stroll straight from the house across the heathland to get to the magnificent Agglestone Rock (350 metres) where you can see for miles around you, safe in the knowledge that your weary legs can rest among the property’s bright and airy decor when you get home.

Step into the porch and into the hall to take off muddy boots and coats after a day of exploration before heading to the lounge with beautiful oak floors. Cosy up in front of the wood burner on the comfy sofas, or take a seat at the bay window with a good book. If TV is more your thing, find your favourite programme and settle down for the evening; if you’re feeling competitive, pop over to the dining room where the large dining table converts into a pool table! Enjoy looking out through French doors to the garden while you eat or play pool, or throw them open during warmer months to let in some fresh air. Step through to the bright contemporary kitchen with breakfast bar and everything you could need to cook up a storm. The oven even has a warming drawer if you fancy showing off your baking skills! There’s no need to worry if you get mucky since the utility room has a sink , washing machine and drier for you to use. Head up the stairs onto the spacious landing and you’ll find a peaceful bedroom with a single bed at the top of the stairs; across the way a king size bedroom lends a boutique feel to your stay with pretty decorative touches. A superb super king-size room, complete with an en-suite with his and hers sinks and a shower, allows you to holiday in style. Quaint coastal touches furnish the twin bedroom and make it a relaxing place for kids after a long day at the beach. Soak among the bubbles in the main bathroom, or rinse off in the separate shower.

Outside, the large garden is a pleasure to enjoy in the warmer months. Sizzle up a BBQ on the terrace while the kids play table tennis, or bask in the sun on the loungers in front of the summer house on the raised patio. At the front of the property, sit among the shrubs and plants at the table.

Excellent, worth every penny and thoroughly recommended. Great location, peaceful but with plenty for the family to do - beaches, attractions and entertainment.

Heath Lodge is a super house, very spacious, comfortable, fitted out to a high standard and provided with all likely needs. The garden is similarly delightful and well provisioned with garden furniture and a table tennis table ! The location is perfect for exploring Studland and its environs. The description of the house is accurate, directions easRead morey to follow and the owners were very helpful and prompt with a minor issue that was solved quickly. Great holiday location with countryside walks from the doorstep. Grandkids loved the pool and table tennis equipment with many challenging games!! Plenty of room and log fire gave evening warmth after hard day. Really good place to stay with beach, walks and corfe castle on the doorstep.

This was our second stay - and definitely won't be the last. Heath Lodge still has the wow factor - and is the perfect location for a break centred around Studland Beach and Swanage. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing setting for a break - you can't go wrong with this house.
