Beautiful countryside cottage in with soaring views across the Purbeck Hills. Attractive gardens and rustic charm characterise this lovely Dorset family retreat.

Discover what peace, quiet and calm really feels like with this glorious village location and Grade II listed building. A converted farm building, this cottage is located within a sleepy village with endless views over the rolling countryside and the Purbeck Hills. The stresses and strains of everyday life will feel like a distant memory and any tension will just melt away with this relaxing rural retreat. The nearest shop is just 0.5 miles and the pub 200 yards. The beauty of Lulworth Cove and the coastline is also just a short half-mile hop, while the town of Wareham is 8 miles away.

The approach to the property provides a clue to the high standard inside with open gardens including lawn, flowers and a paved path. The whole property is spread over a single storey so it’s easy to move around without having to navigate a staircase. The light and spacious lounge and diner is immediately to your left as you enter. With Sky TV, an iPod Dock and a DVD player, you don’t need to go out if you prefer to just relax. The crackle of the wood burner and the soft, sumptuous sofa and chairs provide a wonderful way to unwind. The kitchen is next to the lounge and is sleek, modern and fitted with everything you need, including a wine chiller. A boot room provides extra space for drying your clothes, complete with tumble drier. Two double bedrooms can be found further along the hallway, one with an en-suite bathroom and shower cubicle. If you prefer to soak in a warm bath, there’s also a generously sized family bathroom too.

The rear of the property is just as spectacular as the rest, with steps down to a private patio. Flagstones lead you around the lawn with two further terraced areas and a shaded pergola. With the Purbeck Hills gently rolling into the horizon, you’ll feel as if you’re in the midst of your own private Mediterranean-style escape. Add in a spot of al fresco dining as you watch the sun go down and it’s an idyllic end to the day. A car is recommended for this location and there is allocated parking for one vehicle included.

Lovely cottage just a few things that need attention. Cottage itself was great, very clean and well equipped, very comfortable and in great position. Very quiet and lovely area. We really enjoyed out stay and would definitely return.

Sorry but this cottage needs updating. Was probably a 5 star but needs a good paint over inside and out plus toilet and shower need overalling. On arrival lots of cobwebs inside and out on windows and frames. Also no information booklet so had to guess no for the padlock for the shed just to find cushions for outside chairs.locatiob saves it at momRead moreent. Was probably a five star a few years ago but now needs a good clean , paint up and showers sorting. Hide

Beautiful cottage with everything you would need to make home from home for a week ! Fabulous location with so much to explore and great bistro pubs at the Cove. Walking along top (once you have managed the big climb up from the cottage! ) along Boundary path when open is great.

The cottage is delightful - beautifully presented; spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated and very well equipped. Super location with an excellent pub and stunning Lulworth Cove both within easy walking distance. Would definitely return.

An excellent cottage in terms of quality and comfort. If you stay out of season be aware that the village shop is closed for the winter and buses to Weymouth and Poole are limited. This is possibly the best holiday home we have stayed in.
