This is a lovely character cottage, it is right next to the road but it did not disturb our stay. We saw deer in the garden everyday which was a bonus. The location is great as it is close to a number of attractions. The cottage itself was warm and cosy. We had a lovely stay.

Oh, what a joy. The first view of the cottage and then walking through the front door.we were in heaven.such a relaxing place and peaceful. The surrounding woodland and the visits from the dear, was amazing. Even got up to see them on their early morning visits, 4 am. So central to visiting the great places near by. The Cottage was a beautiful base to explore the Dorset Coastline. There are so many details in and outside the cottage and wonderfully done. I enjoyed looking at the paintings/artworks around the cottage that also gave reference to it's history. The woods were magical. A young deer appeared one night and this vision was delightful.

The cottage is so beautiful and the surrounding grounds equally lovely. We loved staying in it and seeing the deer. Though the cottage is small, it had everything we needed. The cottage itself gets vey little sunlight, but the week was so hot that it was a blessing for us!

Stockford Lodge is a beautiful thatched cottage set in woodland. The cottage is close to the road, but worth accepting that for the view to the rear of the property along with the wildlife and extensive woodland and flowers. Wareham is close by, with great pub food the Quay and the Granary Inns. It's worth booking a table as they can get busy. LotsRead more of places to visit and walks along the coastline. Beautiful cottage, great location with very private garden/woodland. Loved seeing the deer in the mornings and afternoons, we would definitely stay here again. Yes there is some road noise when you are in bed but that didn't bother us at all. Lovely welcome pack left out for us on arrival which was very welcome.

This tiny, enchanting cottage is in a great location for discovering the wonderful Jurassic Coast. It is in a beautiful woodland but as it is an old gate lodge, right by a main road. Very cleverly laid out accommodation in the small inside space, it worked for three of us nicely for a few days.

We stayed here with our 2 grandsons aged 6 & 7. Good location for surrounding attractions. On a busy road so we didn't get much sleep due to traffic noise. The cottage was smaller than expected. Granchildren loved playing in the woods. Served its purpose for a short stay. Would not recommend staying here if you have young children.

The only comment we feel we would make is that in the Bathroom, there should be some form of safety handle on the wall and somewhere to put shower gel, shampoo etc. This applies mainly to the Rain shower over the bath (not the mixer tap)
