The charming village of Netherbury is set within a picturesque valley backed by verdant rolling hills. Set out on foot to explore the many footpaths through the surrounding countryside, stopping off for a drink or hearty meal at a local pub on the way. Fishing can be booked at nearby Mangerton Lake and just 2 miles away is the small town of Beaminster which offers a good range of local amenities, or head 3.5 miles south to popular Bridport, which is known as the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. This vibrant town has a weekly market, a great selection of independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants, as well as a thriving selection of boutiques selling antiques and vintage curios, should you wish to seek out some treasures. Heading a mile further south from Bridport will bring you to the popular coastal resort of West Bay. The swathes of pebble beach offer spectacular views over Golden Cap and wonderful walks along the South West Coast Path. Boat trips also run from the working harbour around the coast to Lyme Regis. This pretty town is well worth a visit and is home to charming cobbled streets, ice cream coloured houses and plenty of galleries to browse.

This mid terraced property is set within the heart of this peaceful village. A shared path and steps leads to the front door. Once inside you are met with a welcoming hallway with a useful separate WC. Immediately in front of you is the kitchen. This well-equipped space has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and slimline dishwasher. Just next door is a spacious lounge/diner, which has a Smart TV and electric effect wood burner. Leading on from here is an attractive sun room with seating which overlooks the courtyard garden. Heading back into the entrance hall you will find a flight of stairs rising to the first floor. There are three bedrooms to choose from, the first is a double with en-suite shower room and WC. Next is a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made as a 2’6” twin on request) and finally an inviting twin. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading outside by either the kitchen or sun room brings you into a courtyard garden which is laid to gravel and bordered by natural hedgerows. There is garden furniture where you can enjoy al fresco meals and drinks, whilst relaxing listening to the church bells. To the rear of the property is one off-road parking space (suitable for a small car only). Alternatively, a village car park is located just behind the property (a small weekly charge applies).

Cottage is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed that immensely. Also cosy and fairly comfortable. We found the TV system very cumbersome, difficult and time consuming to manage.

A comfy, well equipped and roomy cottage, in a quiet village (except for the church bells ringing on the quarter). Its close to the seaside and we enjoyed days at Bridport/west bay, Lyme Regis and Seatown. The Dorset narrow windy roads needed getting used to!

The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful setting, it is well equipped and spacious, but needed a good clean throughout. It also has a damp problem, which might be a concern for people, like my wife, who have chest problems. Maybe a dehumidifier would help. The cottage is close to the coast and other towns, villages and local attractions, which are wRead moreorth a visit. With the damp sorted and a thorough clean, I would recommend a stay there to my friends. Hide

Lovely cottage , appreciated the quiet and beautiful location. It was really well equipped- we stay in cottages regularly and it makes such a difference to have items such as kitchen roll and tin foil provided .

Lovely cottage in a very quiet village with very little light pollution, so you might want to bring a head torch if going out at night... Though if you can do without, you'll see more stars! Bedrooms were all comfortable, showers had plenty of pressure & warm water, and the living room was spacious and relaxing.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful quiet village with easy access to the coast. Cottage is clean and tidy and very well equipped. There is a gravelled yard at the back and this was fine for al fresco dining and adequate for our dogs to lie out in. We will return.
