The traditional coastal town of Swanage draws many visitors for good reason. There is a popular sandy beach and a great selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and amusements to try. Backed by rolling hills this location offers the best of both countryside and coast, with many walking routes weaving through the verdant landscape. Nearby attractions include Durlston Country Park, Studland and Corfe Castle, which is home to castle ruins cared for by the National Trust and accessible by steam train from Swanage station. The South West Coast Path is within easy reach, or head further inland to Monkey World and the Tank Museum for a fun-filled day out.

This terraced, reverse-layout property sits in a tranquil spot elevated to the east of the town centre. A private entrance door leads into an inner hallway with a utility area, with a washer/dryer and a separate WC. A flight of stairs leads from here to the first floor where you can find the two bedrooms. The first is a pretty double with an en-suite bathroom, with shower over bath and WC. Just opposite is a triple room, with a single bed and bunk beds. This bedroom has an en-suite shower room with WC. A further winding set of stairs leads to the second floor and the living accommodation. There is a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with wonderful sea views across the rooftops opposite. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is space to dine and a comfortable lounge area with TV.

A balcony with seating for two leads directly from the lounge area and has sea views. The property has use of a shared garden with flower beds, lawn, benches and lovely views of the bay, which can be found a short stroll from the property. Beneath the property are two covered off-road parking spaces.

We were extremely happy with our stay! The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. The views were amazing and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony. It is a quiet property, we had no disturbances and the location is perfect.

Ocean View was immaculately clean and well provided with everything you could need. Beds were comfortable, and the glimpse of sea was nice. A good location with a short walk to the seafront and pier. The parking spaces are tight, but our Golf was OK. The space to the left of the house was a little wider. The beach goods in the outdoor chest were a Read moregreat idea. The shower water in bedroom two was slow to clear. We bought a plunger....it's under the sink. We would definitely come back here. Hide

Great location easy walk into town , two parking spaces but very tight to get out of only for a small car . It needs a bit of a up date and some attention to cleaning, but it was discounted so did not mind , we were there in January and we're nice and warm .

Ocean View is a lovely place in a great location. We spent the New Year there and enjoyed every minute. As a family of five, we found the bedrooms very spacious, the kitchen very airy, and reception area very bright. The place is well equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. We found the apartment spacious, light, and well-supplied. It is in a great position in Swanage, on the coastal path, and within walking distance of shops and other facilities, whilst being beautifully quiet. There was plenty to do, such as coastal walks, a steam train ride, and a short car-ride away to both Corfe Castle and beautiful Studland Bay Read more- looked after by the National Trust. Absolutely lovely apartment in a fantastic position and Swanage is a fantastic place to visit. We have stayed at many holiday cottages rents but this flat really needs a much higher standard of cleanliness.

The apartment is well located and has the bonus of two parking spaces, and has a view across another roof terrace to the sea. Like some other reviews, we found that there were some issues with cleaning and some rooms now need a redecoration. However, this wouldn't deter us from considering this property in the future.

We really loved our stay here. As big fans of the Atlantic coast, we have never spent time on the Jurassic coast. Swanage was great! It was an impromptu last minute booking, which the hosts were happy to accommodate. The location was perfect for my partner and I, our two children and dog. Set up as a second home, there was nothing we wanted for in Read morethe house. We slept wonderfully in range of the coastal sounds. We will definitely be booking to head back in the future. Although we had some issues with the heating and lighting, the apartment was a pleasant place to stay in a fantastic location, ideal for exploring Swanage and Durlston. The living room and bedroom were very comfortable and if it hadn't been November we would have made good use of the balcony area !
