This beautiful three-bedroom character house is ideally located to enjoy all the picturesque coastal town of Swanage has to offer. The house is situated on a cobbled lane just off the main high street, set in the historical centre of Swanage and a short walk away from the waterfront and numerous cafes, bars, restaurants and attractions on offer close by. The beaches are also only a short walk from your front door with a wonderful selection of attractions in between. Take advantage of this location to hop on the steam train at Swanage station to Corfe Castle, enjoy the water sports on offer from the nearby pier, or hop on the Breezer for a bus ride to Studland and Bournemouth. Take some time to explore the Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you enjoy walking, you are 10 minutes' walk away from Durlston Country Park and Nature Reserve and from there you can walk onto the Priest’s Way and along the coastal path for some breathtaking clifftop views. Perfect for dog walkers.

Stone Pier 2: The seafront & stone pier is 2 minutes walk from our front door. The yellow boat offers hour-long trips along the Jurassic Cliffs & coastline.

Garden sunset: Seaside Cottage's garden offers spectacular sunsets to accompany the evening's drinks & conversations

400m: A short 400m walk across the park next to Seaside Cottage takes you to the top of the cliffs, giving wonderful views across Swanage Bay.

Durlston Castle: The castle is a famous landmark on the coastline, located a mile from Seaside Cottage in the local country park. The castle includes a natural history museum and an excellent cafe & bar.

Priests Way: The Priest's Way is an historic footpath for ramblers and dogwalkers linking Swanage with neighbouring villages

Enter this beautiful cottage and you will find the cosy lounge complete with TV and open fire, a wonderful space for refuge. Head through into the open-plan kitchen/diner which comes with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The dining area offers a table with ample seating for the whole group to gather and enjoy an evening meal lovingly cooked in the kitchen. Access to the rear garden is through the double patio doors, where there is outside furniture to relax on after a day on the beach. Head up to the first floor where you will find all three bedrooms, a king-size main bedroom, a twin zip-and-link room and a bunk bedroom that is perfect for the children. The main bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC completes this level.

This cottage benefits from two gardens, the rear courtyard garden boasting an outdoor dining set, which is an ideal place to retreat to and enjoy some alfresco feasting. The secret garden to the side of the house is surrounded by beautiful flower beds, a lovely spot which catches the evening sun and is a perfect spot to enjoy a morning cuppa or indeed an evening tipple. Excellent location short walk to the town and beach yet quite. Free parking in Park Road for two cars all week was not a problem despite the first weekend being the folk festival

We had a lovely stay at Seaside cottage in August 2024. The location is convenient for Swanage town and the seafront. The cottage had everything we needed (including a bath mat, something mentioned as missing in previous reviews). We really enjoyed the outside space and we found the cottage cosy and comfortable.

We loved the location of the house as you could easily walk everywhere, the beach, shops, cliff top park and was relatively quiet despite being near the high street, a pub and Indian takeaway. It was our first visit to Swanage and we loved it! Kitchen well equipped. Very comfy beds and quality bedding appreciated.
