This luxury barn has a sun deck with a private hot tub and is situated in an idyllic rural location, surrounded by rolling countryside. An ideal base for couples and small families to relax and tour.

Ideally placed for exploring both Dorset and Somerset, 3.5 miles to the west is the sprawling town of Yeovil where you will find a good range of amenities, as well as numerous National Trust properties including Tintinhull Gardens (8 miles) and Montacute House (7.5 miles). Enjoy fabulous views and long walks from Ham Hill or head to the charming honey-coloured streets of Sherborne, which can be found 3 miles west. The town is home to a picturesque Abbey, two castles and a great range of boutique shops and eateries. The ever-popular Jurassic Coast is also within reach, along with many attractions including Haynes Motor Museum, Fleet Air Arm Museum, Shaftesbury, West Bay and Abbotsbury, which are all within 20 miles.

Part of a small peaceful gated complex of similar properties, this recently converted 5-star barn conversion is accessed via a shared gravel driveway and external steps to the front. Once inside you are met with a striking and contemporary open plan living space with a vaulted ceiling, which has been presented with the utmost care and attention to detail. To the rear of the space is a fully integrated kitchen, which has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. There is ample space to dine just opposite and a comfortable lounge space with a Smart TV and DVD player. A useful utility area leads from this room and has a washer/dryer as well as a stylish shower room with a shower and WC, ideal when using the hot tub. The master bedroom is complimented with a super-king-size bed, Smart TV and an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC. Completing the accommodation is the second bedroom, which again has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (can be arranged as a twin on request), Smart TV and an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in shower and WC.

To the front of the property - and accessed either via the living area or the super-king-size bedroom - you will find a fantastic open terrace, with wonderful countryside views across to Golden Cap on a clear day. There’s a private hot tub here and patio furniture, perfect for al fresco dining. There is off-road parking for two cars in front of the barn.

Very well presented lodge. Clean and comfortable. Owners provided everything we could've needed for our stay, as well as some thoughtful extras. Beautiful, peaceful location within driving distance of many Dorset attractions. Highly recommend.

Oh my lord, we had the best time. Nick made the stay so easy and welcoming from the wine and chocolates to washing up liquid. The Cow Shed is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay and we will be back. The whole place is immaculate with great details, it feels like someone has just said "what do I like" and implied it all. We really enjoyed our time at the Cow Shed. It was clean and the beds were really comfortable. The quality of the furnishings were luxurious. I LOVED the Hot-tub!

Excellent can not fault it my mother 91yr says she did not want to leave, once home said amazing I felt so at home there. I too felt the same will visit again for longer

Very good spacious accommodation home from home. Everthing you could want from a self catering holiday. Beds were very comfortable and to have an on suite to both bedrooms was lovely. The hot tub is a bonus and very good to come home to at the end of the day.

Lovely quiet location. Very clean and excellent equipment. The interior decorations with the cow theme are delightful and the hot tub is a wonderful asset. Would definitely like to stay again.

A lovely cottage in a peaceful and private area. It was better than what we expected. The beds were super comfy, fully equipped, nicely decorated. A very well thought place with all you need for a nice holiday. Nick was very kind and helpful. Well come back in the summer
