Newly renovated for 2024 and presented with the utmost care and attention, this idyllic older style detached double-fronted coastal cottage is ideal for a beachside escape. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life by retreating to the idyllic seaside village of Charmouth, with Charmouth Beach being voted the world's number one best beach to visit in winter by Lonely Planet. Discover the plethora of rural and coastal walks right from your doorstep, including the South West Coast Path, where you can take in truly stunning views. Just 2 miles away lies the historic seaside town of Lyme Regis, where you can arrange fishing trips from the Cobb, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the seafront, wander around the boutique shops or test out one of the many eateries. A multitude of popular attractions can be found within 20 miles, including Abbotsbury Swannery, Abbotsbury Children's Farm, Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens, Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, Burrow Farm Gardens, Forde Abbey, and Mapperton House.

Having parked in the off road parking area with EV charger, the most convenient entrance to the cottage is via the back door which leads into the kitchen/diner with views towards the sea and across the enclosed walled garden. Cleverly designed to create separate areas for both cooking and dining in comfort, you can make memories here while you enjoy leisurely breakfasts and family suppers. The spacious hall off the kitchen leads to a light and bright lounge which will make you feel immediately at home. There is a picture window offering a view of the sea and a Smart TV making this a fantastic spot in which to relax after a day spent exploring. Just next door is the music room complete with piano and beautiful exposed stone wall. Perhaps play your favourite tune or open the patio doors and enjoy the coastal breeze. An inner hallway links through to the cosy snug where you can settle down with a good book or enjoy a film on The Frame TV in front of the wood burner. Finally downstairs is the contemporary shower room, although after returning from the beach you may prefer to use the outdoor shower with hot and cold water. When the day is done, head upstairs to the three inviting bedrooms, two of which boast yet more fantastic sea views. The bathroom can also be found on this floor, which completes this well proportioned accommodation. Bear in mind that there are some steps and changes of level within the first floor due to the age of the property, which only adds to its character and charm, but care should be taken.

Heading outside you'll find a real oasis in the heart of this bustling coastal village. Enclosed by stone walls, the garden has two separate areas for relaxing and dining and an outdoor shower ideal for rinsing off after a dip in the sea.

Sea view has everything you need and is spacious and comfortable. The outdoor shower with warm water was a real luxury for washing our cockapoo after walks on the beach. The well maintained garden is a real sun trap and very pretty. Great location for the beach and fossil hunting.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The Cottage was spotless and very well equipped, the outdoor shower was useful and the enclosed pretty garden was a real bonus. The beach is on the doorstep and just a short walk to pubs and amenities. A real gem of a property.

Sea View was so idyllic we really didn't want to leave. The location is a few steps from the beach - we spent lots of time in the garden with the sound of the sea in the background. It was incredibly well equipped and we received a lovely welcome pack on arrival.

What a beautiful cottage and so perfectly placed. So well equipped we were able to cater for ourselves comfortably. The garden was lovely and again well kitted out with a fantastic dining area and sunbeds. We absolutely loved our stay with our dog and would definitely return.

Probably the most beautiful and well equipped place we have stayed. We fell in love with it and so did our two dogs, we all adored the garden and it was idyllic having the beach just a stones throw away. Great location and fantastic surrounding areas to visit. Returning is a must!!

The cottage was newly renovated and stunning. It was obvious a lot of time and thought had gone into the renovation and it could not be faulted. There was a beautiful cottage garden with sheltered seating areas. A real gem, look forward to returning.
