Nestled in the scenic North Dorset countryside within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is an ideal base for touring and walking. A short drive away, Shaftesbury (2 miles) provides a picturesque view of the Blackmore Vale and boasts independent shops, cafes and restaurants, plus the iconic Gold Hill. Explore the nearby National Trust sites, including Melbury Beacon, Fontmell Downs, and Win Green, which offer breathtaking panoramas (and all within 6 miles), or travel further afield and visit Stourhead (13 miles), Kingston Lacy (18 miles), and Hardy's Cottage (26 miles). Within 20 miles are Salisbury, Wilton House and Longleat, or head to the Jurassic Coast and the stunning Isle of Purbeck, less than 30 miles away. There’s also the option to explore the Sturminster Newton to Blandford Forum Trailway by bike or on foot.

This single-storey property sits in a peaceful spot adjacent to the owner's home, yet with privacy assured. A private entrance door leads into the cosy open-plan living space. The whole space is furnished beautifully and with style, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Just next door is the double bedroom, and a compact shower room completes the accommodation.

Very pleasant stay at Little House, great friendly welcome from James, and a very peaceful and beautiful location. The property is small but very well equipped and comfortable - there is no washing machine, but we found a good laundry in Shaftesbury. A good base for exploring the area with lots of places to visit in easy driving distance. We've no Read morehesitation in recommending Little House. Hide
