This beautifully appointed property is ideal for family breaks on the south coast. Swanage is a charming town boasting a popular sandy beach and a diverse array of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. Surrounded by rolling hills, the area is ideal for walkers, with the South West Coast Path, Ballard Down, and Durlston Country Park all within a 2-mile radius of the town. Jump on the steam train, which stops at the historic village of Corfe Castle, where you’ll find castle ruins in the care of the National Trust and picturesque streets to explore. Within a 14-mile radius are many attractions including Monkey World, The Tank Museum, RSPB Arne, Wareham, the unspoilt beaches of Studland and the captivating, deserted village of Tyneham.

External stone steps lead up to the entrance deck, which wraps around the property. From here you can take in the panoramic views over Swanage Bay and Ballard Down and look towards Townsend Nature Reserve which then leads on to Durlston Country Park. The side entrance door leads into a lobby area with desk and storage cupboards, one of which houses the washer/ dryer. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is to your left, where you can sink into the inviting sofas and switch on the flame-effect electric fire whilst you watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV. The kitchen area is adjacent, where you will find all you need to prepare family meals that can be enjoyed at the table just opposite. This room is flooded with natural light as well as boasting fabulous views and a vaulted ceiling, making it the ideal retreat after a day spent exploring. An inner hallway leads to the bedrooms, a twin room, a king-size bedroom with double doors to the garden, a TV, dressing area and an en-suite shower room. Next, you’ll find the main bathroom with a shower over the bath, and completing the accommodation is the final bedroom, which is a cosy twin room.

Head out onto the deck from the lounge and enjoy the sea views looking towards the Isle of Wight and glimpse Corfe Castle in the distance, or take the door from the king-size bedroom or the main entrance door and you’ll find a small garden with patio, lawn and furniture to the rear of the property.

A really wonder place to stay, and the the view is as spectacular as it looks online. As long as you dont mind a steep walk, its a brilliant base for a family holiday on the Jurassic coast. Our kids (6-13) loved it.

The 180 degree views from the Lodge over Swanage and the surrounding area are fantastic - better than any picture can show. You don't feel hemmed in or overlooked and the site is extremely clean and tidy. It is very steep and hilly though. The Lodge itself was immaculate, spacious and very comfortable - I originally thought it was brand new. All thRead moree equipment was spotless and in abundance and I would say that it is better than some people have in their own homes. All in all a great place to stay Hide
