There’s plenty to explore, whether you choose to wander through the quaint streets of Blandford Forum, indulging in the delights of independent shops, coffee houses, pubs, and restaurants, or venture further afield to discover the stunning Jurassic Coast with its traditional seaside towns and pristine beaches. Immerse yourself in the natural splendour of Dorset as you explore nearby attractions such as Swanage (25 miles), Weymouth (23 miles), Studland (25 miles), and Lulworth (17 miles). Hop on a ferry from Poole Quay (18 miles) to Brownsea Island, or visit the historic sites of Wimborne Minster (12 miles), Tank Museum (12 miles), and Monkey World (12 miles) for days filled with excitement and adventure.

Upon entering the property, you are greeted by a spacious and bright dining room where guests can savour delicious meals and hearty breakfasts before setting off on their daily adventures. A welcoming homely feeling property and lovely owners, well equipped overall, dog made very welcome, and we hope to come back in summer to enjoy the garden and summer house area in the evenings with a glass of wine. The cottage is really beautifully-furnished and equipped and I have never seen such wonderful flowers and plants in a garden. Our two dogs felt immediately at home although they would no doubt have liked to have a bit of lawn to run about on. We loved the house and would come again any time. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming, even when the Read moredoor key disappeared after my handbag was stolen in Christchurch! The cottage is of course "in the sticks" but not so far from many places to visit. Hide

We had a lovely holiday in Gordons Gate, the apartment is very well equipped and the garden is designed with great attention to detail. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The place offers a good starting point for visiting Dorset. We can only recommend this cottage. The long journey was really worth it.
