Set alongside the road heading through the hamlet of Wigbeth, this contemporary barn conversion was completed in 2018 and is ideally situated for taking in the local attractions, with Wimborne Minster, Badbury Rings, Moors Valley Country Park and the New Forest National Park all within easy reach. Set near the Dorset/Hampshire border and a short trip from Cranborne Chase, there are many scenic walking and cycling routes that run directly from the property, taking in the breath-taking views on offer in this picturesque spot. Take a trip to the market towns of Wimborne or Ringwood, ideal for an afternoon spent browsing. The beautiful beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are also accessible by car from here.

On entering the detached barn originally built in 1680, you are met by a stunning open-plan living area incorporating the kitchen/diner/lounge with full height vaulted ceiling. Bi-fold doors to the rear flood the room with light and a striking circular fireplace with wood burner will instantly make you want to linger a while. This sociable space is cleverly divided and is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent exploring, in the lounge area you can enjoy relaxed evenings in and watch a film on the Smart TV. The stylish kitchen area is well-equipped with a double electric oven and induction hob, American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, fresh coffee bean machine and washer/dryer. There is also a separate WC. Through the lounge area you will find a double bedroom with en-suite shower and WC and a king-size bedroom with wet room style shower set into the corner of the room and a separate WC. The first of two staircases, this one a spiral, leads you up to the first floor from the kitchen area. Here you will find an impressive king-size bedroom with vaulted ceiling, views over the lounge and an en-suite shower and WC. A second staircase rises from the lounge area to a mezzanine with snug, views over the lounge, a Juliet balcony and a comfy sofa this is the perfect spot to relax with a good book. Leading on from here is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with a Juliet balcony and en-suite shower and WC.

Heading outside you will find an enclosed garden with a patio area with a great outside kitchen that includes gas powered plancha grills, a sink and plenty of worktop space, garden furniture and artificial lawn. Located directly outside of the spacious living area, it’s the perfect spot for enjoying al fresco dining.  There is an enclosed shared paddock ideal for picnics or dog walking.  Please note: Stag or Hen parties are not permitted at this property

Dairy Cottages Big Barn is a superb house. It's as exactly as depicted in the photographs, modern, roomy and very quirky. We had a great week there - six friends and our two dogs. The big barn was perfect for our larger group and we had a lovely time. Everything you will need for your stay. The owner welcomed us when we arrived and was very helpful. I cannot fault our accommodation was modern and very clean . Thank you to the owners once again.

Lovely property with great space for all the family. Great location to explore both Dorset and the New Forest plus easy access to Bournemouth and Poole. Excellent outdoor space that feels secluded from other cottages on site.

Lovely large property with all the qualities to be a 5 star holiday home. Requires some finishing touches with requards to decor. Found getting hold of owners difficult and even when you text they don't respond which was disappointing. This could be a great holiday home but let down by little things considering the price. This property is stunning, we really enjoyed our time here. The wood burner is a great feature and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, also the garden is fully enclosed so you can let your dog out without worrying they will scape. Thank you for a lovely family holiday x

Very impressive property in the heart of Dorset. Nice dog walks a short distance way. The property was comfortable and easily housed 8 adults and one dog. Facilities were great, Neff ovens are great to cook big meals. Only down side was the busy road with no footpaths so had to drive the 30 seconds journey to the forestry commission pathway. The owRead moreners were attentive to any queries we had. We will definitely booking again and I would recommend to anyone looking for a large property. Hide

Our family spent a weekend together at Dairy cottage Big Barn and enjoyed the space and comfort it offered. The facilities, along with the enclosed garden were perfect for us and we would recommend others to stay.

Lovely, but not very soundproof. For family's with different needs, this was a challenge and unsettling for the baby. That said, it was lovely and bright, comfortable and spacious and lovely to have own garden space. I imagine it's fab in warmer weather .

Very spacious house with everything you need for big family. Beds are very comfortable. Road outside is very busy and noisy. Need to be aware for Dogs and little ones. Lots of really good Country Parks and Beaches very near.
